Join design researchers, educators, and practitioners from around the world at IIT Bombay, Mumbai, December 4–6, 2026.

Converge 2026 is committed to making the conference accessible, equitable, and welcoming to all researchers regardless of background or circumstance.

Student Volunteer Programme
Students from Indian institutions can apply to volunteer at the conference in exchange for a complimentary registration. Volunteers assist with session management, logistics, and participant experience. Apply by October 1, 2026.
Accessibility & Disability Support
We are committed to full physical and digital accessibility. Requests for sign language interpretation, captioning, accessible seating, or other accommodations can be submitted during registration. All sessions will be held in accessible venues.
Childcare Support
On-site childcare is available upon advance request for participants travelling with young children. Please indicate this need during registration. A small additional fee may apply. Priority given to sole-carer researchers.
Financial Assistance
Limited bursaries are available for researchers from low- and middle-income countries, independent designers, and those facing financial hardship. Apply by August 31, 2026 with a short statement of need. Recipients receive full fee waiver or subsidy.
Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to uphold the ICDF Code of Conduct: respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free engagement. Violations may result in removal from the conference without refund. Full policy available on request.
Refund Policy
Full refunds (minus processing fee) are available until October 15, 2026. 50% refund until November 1, 2026. No refunds after November 1, 2026. Exceptional circumstances reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Visa Requirements

Most international participants will require a visa to enter India. We recommend applying for a Conference / Business visa (B-2) or an e-Tourist visa, which is available online to citizens of 170+ countries.

Processing times vary by country — we recommend applying at least 4–6 weeks before the conference. Citizens of some countries may apply at the airport; please check with your nearest Indian consulate.
